Because it is also a challenge, as Jesus Christ made clear: "One servant cannot serve two masters. He will be devoted to one and reject the other. He will devote himself completely to one, the other he will despise. You cannot serve God and mammon at the same time."

In consultation with Nicolas, Markus announced to the farmers in May 2025 that we would be purchasing their green coffee from the 2024 harvest and that they should make the necessary preparations. Although we did not have the necessary funds at that point, we firmly believed that God would provide the financial resources. We then determined the weight and drew up a distribution plan for the Döbeln and Labuan Bajo locations. It is important to note that the majority of the farmers had stored their entire raw coffee harvest for us, trusting that we would purchase it.

Before Markus' second stay with the farmers, during his Faith Journey in 2025, Nicolas told him that we had received a gift of 125 million rupiah (equivalent to about €6,000) from a woman. Yes, our God provided the necessary finances for the purchase in good time.

We paid 15.000 IDR per kilogram to Dave Soepriyadi for his help with the green coffee from Nono Suhana in West Java.

Delivery Time

Indonesia: The green coffee for the roastery in Labuan Bajo is delivered as needed.
Germany: Our second batch of coffees from our direct trade with farmers arrived in Döbeln on 20 October 2025.

Delivery Timeline Germany

It took quite a long time this time.

On July 19, it departed from Tangkul and arrived at the Ruteng.

On July 27, it was loaded onto the truck of Trans Arabella in Ruteng and departed for Bandung in West Java.

On August 4, it arrived at the warehouse in Bandung.

The cargo stayed at the Bandung warehouse for a while because we had to wait for the quarantine clearance schedule for export. Then, on August 20, it was shipped to Tanjung Priok near to Jakarta and arrived in Singapore.

On August 29, the ship departed for Hamburg, Germany.

October 13: Arrived in Hamburg, Germany.

October 15: Will arrive at our small warehouse at Prüfern 13 on the outskirt of Döbeln.

The total duration from when the cargo was released by the farmers in Tangkul Village until it reached Prüfern 13 is approximately 3 months.

We had to wait a long time because (1) Trans Arabella delayed the schedule for picking up the cargo. Then again we had to wait a long time (2) for the schedule and quarantine process at the warehouse in Bandung. And (3) the ship's schedule from Singapore to Hamburg in northern Germany was delayed. The ship's journey from Singapore to Hamburg depends on many factors, especially (4) the weather conditions at sea.

It turns out we still have to wait until Tuesday the 20th for the 13 coffee shipments to arrive at Prüfern.

October 20: On the morning at 9:30 German time, the deliverey arrived at Prüfern 13. It arrived in good condition. Praise Jesus for the delivery of the actual 2025 coffee shipment.
