God invites every person to live this principle, but not everyone feels addressed, let alone dares to dare to put it into practice. Because it is also a challenge, as Jesus Christ made clear: "One servant cannot serve two masters. He will be devoted to one and reject the other. He will devote himself completely to one, the other he will despise. You cannot serve God and mammon at the same time."
Together with our six coffee farmers, we internalized the PURE principle in January 2023. We have realized that each of them wants to follow this new, visible and narrower path. They want to leave the old scams of the existing cooperative in their region, especially the purchase of green coffee from others, to resell it and generate the intermediate margin as to generate additional income.
Four of the farmers went on with us, while two had to realize that they were in a quandary after all and had to decide after a year which path they really wanted to take. Because both are still functionaries in the same cooperative. They have understood that every farmer should fulfill God's will for himself fulfill God's will for himself by NOT buying green coffee from others to then sell it on. They also understand that they should not become coffee traders, as is the practice common in the administrative positions of the cooperative, but only to live out their divine calling: to be one of the best and most trustworthy coffee farmers in their village.
They know that we are always patient in the KAFFEEKostBAR family, if they want to give up their commitment to the cooperative in order to accompany us holistically. We said goodbye respectfully.
