Burner

Type: Atmospheric gas burner
System: Main & second burner
Control: Propotional actuator needle valve electric burner power

N series machines have manual control of the gas pressure, while the A series and higher series have a control with a digital servo (damper).

The distance between igniter and burner should be around 5 mm. If the distance is too far or to long, the fire won't start.

If you need to remove the entire burner, including the bracket, measure and note the distance between the burner and the roasting drum beforehand. Take care when removing the burner, as some parts are aluminum and can easily break. Also, do not attempt to remove the gas connection yourself. If the gas pipe is not connected properly, this can be very dangerous.

Burner Calibration

First burner

The valve of the first burner remains open as long as the BT PID temperature has not yet been reached.

For the first burner is no recalibration not required.

Second burner

Once the BT PID temperature has been reached, the first burner's valve closes. The second burner valve is always open.

If the flame goes out when switching to the second burner or if the flame is too large, calibrate it as follows.

  1. Start the roasting machine, adjust the airflow, and turn on the burner.

  2. Now set a temperature for the BT PID. For example, 110°C. Press the arrows on the temperature display to set the temperature accordingly.

  3. Then wait until the set BT-PID temperature is reached and the first burner switches off and the second burner switches on.

  4. Now the flame must be adjusted so that it does not go out when switching to the second burner, but is also not too large. The adjustment is made using the small screw at the rear of the machine. Turning clockwise reduces the gas throttle. Turning counterclockwise increases the gas throttle.

  5. After making the adjustment, check the setting at the charge temperature.

Burner Installation Cleaning

To clean it, you will need a screwdriver, a socket, open-end or ring wrench if possible a blower or blowgun, a vacuum cleaner, and if necessary a thin needle.

  1. Unscrew the igniter, loosen the screws securing the burner to the bracket and then remove the burner.

  2. Remove the screws on the burner to access the nozzles.

  3. When cleaning the burner, make sure to carefully clean all openings, including the nozzles. If you don't have Blower or Blowgun, clean the openings with the vacuum cleaner. Note: Cleaning with a blower or blowgun is more thorough than using only a vacuum cleaner.

  4. If you have still problems with the burner performance, you can clean up the nozzles with a thin needle. Carefully insert the needle into the holes in the nozzles and remove any deposits. Do not insert the needle too deeply, so as not to enlarge the holes.

  5. After cleaning the burner, clean the burner chamber and reinstall the burner and igniter.

Noozle Replacement

To replface the burner noozzles, you will need a screwdriver, a socket, open-end or ring wrench.

  1. Unscrew the igniter, loosen the screws securing the burner to the bracket and then remove the burner.

  2. Remove the screws on the burner to access the nozzles.

  3. Remove the old nozzles and any remaining sealing tape.

  4. Wrap sealing tape around the new nozzles and screw them in.

  5. Now reinstall the burner step by step. The igniter should be 5 mm away from the burner.
