We're using the same recipe as in Döbeln, Germany, to craft our precious Single Farmer Origin royalty coffees (which go beyond the Specialty term). These are sourced directly from our seven dedicated farmer families in the villages Tangkul, Nkiong, Wejangmalih, Colol Region in Flores East Manggarai. We aim to create a range of unique flavors that showcase the beauty of the island of Flores and its people.
Since 2014, the Sihombing family in Döbeln has been actively involved in educating about coffee quality and fairness in the coffee industry. This journey began with the establishment of the coffee bar at Obermarkt 13 in mid-2015, followed by the opening of the coffee roastery at Sattelstraße 1 towards the end of 2016.
Our almost yearly coffee journeys, whether in Indonesia (Southeast Asia) or Kenya (East Africa), have provided us with a wealth of insightful experiences and life lessons. These experiences now form the foundation of our valuable coffee seminars.
There are more valuable and encouraging stories to come from our commitment to 'swimming against the current' (or trend) in this world. Ask us about them. We look back with gratitude and say, above all, “Thank you Jesus Christ!”, who continues to guide us according to his script.
