Transparency

Yes, we had the idea to bring one of the best organic coffees from best organic specialty coffees from Kenya to Germany since 2015 and that is why God brought us together with Eric since the 2015 when he was still studying at the University of Karatina to get his bachelor degree in English Teaching. In October 2015, Nico met Eric who accompanied him to explore the world of coffee in Kenya - in search of organic and also famous (known in Germany) specialty coffee.

Eric already mentioned that ALL the coffee plantations use pesticides (or fertilizers) and he could hardly find any organic ones, since each cooperative (and therefore each producer) is encouraged to maximize their production. Eva received God's indications that the "poorest of the poor" farmers would not be able to buy (chemical) fertilizer, and when Eric applied it, he actually found 3 specific farmers in a particular in a particular neighborhood in the Meru region.

Eric brought Nico to visit them on their very small coffee "garden" (not really a plantation). Nico gave a blunt presentation on what is done and processed in Flores Island of Indonesia and it was a "jaw dropping" wonderful news for these poor farmers to see that the same simple "low profile" farmers like them on the other part of the world already have the skills and abilities to produce specialty coffee with simple methods and even do not need big industrial heavy equipment that is commonly used by Kenyans "cooperative (washing) stations". They have even won several national competitions.

These farmers are eager to learn if they can get the chance to get the knowledge, but there are no such practical lectures within Kenya. Someone has to go to Indonesia and get his lesson directly there.

Answering the longing of their hearts, God brought Eric to the island of Flores in early 2018, where he lived among the coffee farmers and had his practical lessons. He even collected meaningful documentation about the lives of these simple farmers and their expectations and perspectives for a better future.

At the beginning of 2019, Eric came back to Kenya and shortly after got into a car accident when a drunk foreigner crashed his car into him (from behind) while he was jogging with his friends on Saturday morning. It took a while for Eric to recover and start feeding the 3 farmers in Meru.

In 2020 he tried to send the first collected samples after the applied knowledge of coffee cultivation from Indonesia bore fruit. Unfortunately, this small sample never made it to Germany. It got lost on the way. So we knew we had to set up our own coffee roastery and coffee shop in Kenya.

So Eric attended a barista course in Nairobi in 2020 and through Nico he got in touch with Martin Shabaya - he has won the barista championship in Kenya for three years and qualified for the semifinals of the WBC 2021, placing fifth overall. We sent Martin our KAFFEE BATAVIA's interpreted specialty (or better say 'royal') coffees from the island of Flores and together with Eric he did the cupping and was really grateful and amazed by the results.

Due to the given Covid19 political regulations within EU, Indonesia and also Kenya, we have to wait until now (April 2023) to start the entrusted divine concept of launching our unique concept of coffee roasting and coffee shop called KAFFEEkostBAR in Kenya and to declare the given Two-Kings-Principle to grant kingship to Kenya's dedicated organic coffee farmers so that they too can share their best righteous coffees just like the farmers in Flores Island, Indonesia.

With humble hearts we, Sihombing Kaffeehandel - MUNGOs as a founding company in Germany, stay connected with Mwirigi Kahawa - MUNGOs LTD in Kenya and expect in the long run more and more KAFFEEKostBARs in different meaningful places within the African continent, so that more people can experience the true liberation through the perfect sacrifice of Jesus Christ, which also ends the era of neo-colonialism and further exploitation of the coffee farmers.
